Working with governed data
AirawatOS keeps all data in one shared record book (the registry). Every record has a type (a governed schema — a shared, agreed shape), so a "building" or a "payment" means the same thing to every component and every agency. You read and write these records through the broker.
Three things that are always true
- Shared types. The shapes of data are governed — agreed once, used everywhere. You build against them; you don’t invent your own private formats. Browse them in the data model (Reference, coming soon) and the stack overview.
- Every write is attributed. When your component writes a record, the platform stamps who wrote it (your component and version) and from what. That is what makes every number traceable back to its source — one of the two promises.
- You only see what you’re allowed to. Reads are scoped to your tenant and your declared permissions; you never get a firehose of everyone’s data.
If your component needs a data type that doesn’t exist yet, that’s a governance step — a steward proposes and approves the new shape (see the Govern track). It stays a shared standard, not a private one.
